reguarding voltage vs amp... ive been shocked by half a million volts... im still alive... because it was at such a low amp... 100 volts at high amp can fry you instantly...
Actually it is dangerous. If he just reaches out to grab it the electricity will arc into his hand pretty much frying it. He must contact the current with the poll. Also the massive amounts of electricity can harm the avionics.
okay, first, i know exactly how to do that, and that is not dangerous. he has to touch both of the poles to be electricuted. the real danger actually comes from the chopper blades.. wind could knock it into the powerline, causeing blades to collapse
He wasn't in any real danger. He wasn't grounded. He could go dancing on that line as long as he doesn't ground. It's the same reason a bird can land on the line and not get fried.

Actually, amperage only kills you because you are completing a circuit which is running to ground. He was able to grab that kind of voltage is because he wasn't grounded, obviously because he's in a helicopter. Either way, it's still nuts......LOL
