Going back to where it all started a little over a year and a half ago, the Irvine Improv was the site for our latest edition of MySpace Secret Stand-Up. We knew that we had set a high standard when we brought Carlos Mencia for our very first Secret Stand-Up and we didn’t want to disappoint on our second trip back to Orange County so what better way to satisfy some desperate housewives than with the one and only, DAVE ATTELL. Despite the sore throat, Attell put on a great performance. With bits about MySpace Tom, Jesus and Subway Jared being his top friends to making light of Heath Ledgers death to talking about a guy he saw drinking a daiquiri all alone, he had the packed house crying from laughter. McHale is the star of E!’s “The Soup” which satirizes pop culture and current events. Obsessed fans or bored people also recognize him from “Spider-Man 2”, “Pushing Daisies,” and “Lords of Dogtown.” Recently, Joel wrapped shooting the Steven Soderbergh directed “The Informant” starring opposite Matt Damon. Joel played tight end for The University of Washington’s National Championship football team and now lives with his hot wife in Southern California. He likes all animals…especially chicken.
