Career Questions and Answers

Holly Golightly
When is it time to tell employer you are pregnant?
Asked by Holly Golightly
I just found out I am pregnant (surprise!), my job is pretty demanding and my last pregnancy was very high risk so my doc wants to see me every other week. I am the one and only female employee where I work, so the topic is a tough one to bring up. I fully intend to return to work after the baby is born, as well as work as long as I can before, however the long hours are rough (I almost dozed off during lunch hour) plus one of my coworkers is really high maintenence and actually gets peeved if I take a lunch break. He has no kids, wife, girlfriend hobbies ect so work is his life. It is not unusual for him to be there 7 days a week and he actually called me for tech advice on Xmas! I am an engineer at this company and have been for 5 years. This question is posted in another section, I moved it here to get more response
