what makes it so difficult to ascertain whether or not fish is helpful for mental health in adults. i think it would be worthwhile to survey.

My friend always told me fish was brain food. Guess he was right. Now there is scientific results that prove it. My Vet told me to give my labrador fish oil capsules twice a day. I eat them too.....they are like our little treats only I don't chew on mine......LOL !!! I also gather from reading this article that fresh trout caught at over 8000ft where I go fishing would be fish low on the mercury scale. I just brought home a limit last Thursday. After I finish them off I think I will head back out on the lake and reel in some more !!! Fish On !!!!!

I recently started taking fish oil pills and green tea extract pills, are those bad to take as a pill form or should I stop taking them?

Your better off eating fatty fish such as salmon then to take supplements. I was told by my nutrition teacher that supplements can contain more dangerous mercury levels because they extract the oil from the fish liver. So those of you that take supplements be very careful.

I agree with you Kelly. Anything natural is safer and the better way to go. Some people have trouble digesting fish so the supplements are an alternative.
