Hey everyone...Thought some moral support would be awesome right about
now. So, I'm a dance instructor, but I come from really bad
genes...I'm 22, 6' tall, medium bone frame, but I USED to weight 182
when i graduated. I got a boyfriend, got all happy, and gained
weight...I went up to 220. *YIKES*...then, it got worse, I found out I
had 2 herniated disks in my back, couldnt exercise, dance or anything
for a long time. Well, my fiance has gone to Saudi Arabia for a few
months to work, and I decided I wanted him to come home to a slim and
trim woman...So I started getting on the elliptical everyday (with an
OK from my doctor), and eating lean cuisines for brunch, and a big
salad for dinner with fruit in between and TONS of water. Dropped 20
pounds in a period of 3 months or so...now I'm STUCK at 199....and I
CAN'T get it any lower...bad thing is, I'm starting to get so down
about it, I just want to eat my normal foods again...just finished
with some hot wings, actually...i KNOW :-S
Anyhow, I have to get down to 170 at least...thats the highest I
should be at as a healthy dancer with my bone structure and height.
But how do I get under 199????
Hello again...just finished my first day of Special K diet...I started
at 199 this morning...
I had my breakfast and lunch of the cereal, a snack bar for a snack,
and a Healthy Choice meal for dinner with a low fat chocolate
cupcake...yummy ;-)
I also worked out today on the elliptical, ab roller, and a few hand
weights...
A little hungry...really wanting to snack while watching Fool's Gold,
gotta be strong!
How's everyone else doing as they're much farther along than me?
My fiance comes home on the 30th...wish me luck to lose a good amount
before then. :-D
Update more later...

hi dear,
as u have mentioned u r a dancer. despite, willing to put down the
weight, though continue with the normal diet- its quite hard. but u
can do this through eccess dance lessons.for instance, y dont u go 4
different dance clases, like classical, folk or cinimatic.
Hello again...well, not too bad on the second day as far as hunger is
concerned, I had my cereal for breakfast and lunch, then the snack bar
as a snack...but, I could have done better though...I work late on
fridays...from 4:30 - 8:15, so I can't eat till after work...well,
eating around 9 is not the best time to eat :-S
Plus, I ended up going out with a friend to an italian restaurant for
dinner. Italian nachos, and garlic potato soup, plus bread with olive
oil....not the BEST choice for food that late at night, I know...
I still worked out, although not for very long, by that time I was
exhausted because I didn't get a chance to work out in the daytime. :-S
I only did 15 min on the elliptical, ab roller and hand weights.
Still dropped half a pound though as per the scale this morning :-)
So far, loving the Special K diet!
Oh, and Sam, I'm sorry I should have noted, I'm actually a dance
instructor, I rarely take classes for myself anymore because of my
back injury. I fully intend to start up again with ballet, funk jazz,
swing, and ballroom when I've lost enough weight and my doctor gives
me the ok though! Thanks for the advice ;-)
breakfast - special K cereal
lunch - special K cereal
snack - special K bar
dinner - smart ones meal plus fat free brownie
exercise - 30 min on elliptical, 40 rolls on the ab roller forward, 30
right and left, and 5 more added to hand weight exercises...
weight - .5 pounds added
grr, annoying
haha
gotta keep on trekking...
Sooooo....same thing as usual, breakfast and lunch are cereal, i went
and bought the fruit and yogurt and low carb ones, delicious!
then i had my new blueberry bar for a snack...yummy!
then i had a healthy choice for dinner
plus water water water...i dont mean to sound picky, but smart water
is DELICIOUS...and i read that if you drink water really cold it
actually helps (even just a TINY bit) burn calories because your body
has to work to warm the water in your stomach...wonder if that's true?
then i kicked some derrière for exercise! 45 MINUTES on the
elliptical, 40 rolls on the ab roller, 30 side to side, and using 4
pound weights i did my 30 curls, 30 tricep pushes back, 30 peck
crosses, and 20 tricep drops above the head. Then my usual 10 inner
thigh squeezes with the pilates ball, and 10 lifting my derrière in
the air. WORK IT!!!
and guess what...woke up this morning....195.5 baby!
woohoo!
how's everyone else doing?
Hey everyone!! CONGRATS on all your engagements and WEDDINGS.. Mine is
7/31/2009.. I know starting early.
So I started dieting before we got engaged. We got engaged on 5/21/08.
Things are just CRAZY. My fiance went away right after we got engaged
and I was doing GREAT till he came home.. Now we eat take out and fast
food.. im sooooo bad. A lot of my friends have recently lost so much
weight. One 33lbs the other 35lbs(my maid and matron of honor to boot)
I want to be 125 and I am 154 right now. I lost 10lbs before I decided
to eat the world. There is also soooo much stress. My famliy wanting
us to do this and his family saying that.. Friends who recently got
engaged being mad at us cause our wedding is before theres..its friggin
pandamodium. I just can't get motivated. So i figured doing this might
help. I need variety in my diet or I CRAVE everything.. Things I never
liked.. Like now I LOVE pizza.. I never liked pizza before.. OR ICE
CREAM..(ok now im starving)
How do I stay motivated??
loooong day...ate my cereal for breakfast and lunch, then a snack bar,
unfortunately i had to work late, so i didn't get a chance to eat
dinner till 9pm..ick...had a salad though
nothing but water :-)
then, feeling quite guilty i still exercised for 40 min...30 on
elliptical plus the usual abs, arms and inner thighs
only dropped 1/2 a pound...down to 195
i wonder if working out so late has something to do with it? im not
entirely sure how that goes as far as loosing weight is concerned.
Anyone know? I've read both sides on the internet...some say its good
to work out early, others say its bad...dunno
anyhow, almost up to a week :-) feeling good!
On the 28th my fiance and I will be seeing who has lost the most
weight this month(we have a bet going ;-)
he's gone from 255 to 234, so 21 pounds, but he hasnt been working out
for the past couple of days, and he had a few bad things to eat, plus
i still say he's not eating healthy (a granola bar for breakfast and
dinner? like...apple cinnamon, and maple syrup???? i dont THINK so
lol)...i've gone from 209 to 195, so 14 pounds, but i think i'm eating
WAY more healthy than he is :-D, plus im still exercising...he may
have gained back a couple of pounds...wish me luck!
well, not bad....same food, same exercises,....stayed the same weight,
but i've lost some, that's the point ;-)
anyhow, going to be busy a while...work work work
hope everyone is doing well on the diet...LOVE THAT CEREAL!
:-D
Hello my name is Patsy I am 23 years old, I live in Oklahoma City, OK!
It's the first of July and I am more determined now to lose weight
than anything! I am getting married in March on the 27th and I am
currently 185lbs. I use to weight 118lbs but then I got pregnant twice
and now it is time for me to quite being lazy and do something about
it while I'm still young. I set up my special K play and here goes
nothing!!!!!! My goal is to get down to 130 lbs by March!!!
Hey Patsy, my name is Kayla and I live in Baton Rouge, LA but am
originally from Tulsa, OK. I am getting married November 9, 2008 at
the Louisiana Renaissance Festival in Hammond and currently weigh in
as much as you. Granted, just 2 1/2 weeks ago I was 197lbs...I also
have a son and only work 2days a week outside home so it was very
easy for me to loose control of my weight. I am actually planning a
trip to OKC in a couple of weeks and hope not to stray too far from
my diet for the week I'm there! I would love to be 135lbs...just for
the simple fact I have never been under 150lbs. Good luck
sweetheart, it really works!

Hi All
My name is Laura and I'm getting married August 30. I started trying to lose
weight for the
wedding back in September. I started at 130 lbs. I was able to drop about 12 lbs
over the
course of the year and am stuck there. I would really like to lose another 8
before the
wedding. I also do theatre and I'm in a show where I have to show off my
stomach. I'm hoping
I will be able to lose an inch or two off my waist by the start of August. I do
an intense
amount of dancing three days a week and I've started using the Wii Fit. This is
my second day
on the Challenge and so far I am happy. I hope I am doing it correctly. Here is
what I've had
today:
Breakfast: Berry Waffles with an orange
Snack: Vanilla Bar
Lunch: Bowl of Cereal with an orange
Snack: Chocolate covered Raspberry bar
Dinner: Large salad with a chicken breast
Hopefully, this is a correct approach. I eat something every two hours and I
find that I don't
feel hungry.
CONGRATS to everyone, Our wedding is June 27, 2009 I know sounds too
early but I some how have to manage to go to school, work, lose weight,
train for the police academy, and plan this wedding! SO hopefully I can
do all this without going crazy! I am 22 and after graduation I was in
a car accident that kept me from working out and I have gained weight
since then. I am now ready to get back in the game and start losing. My
goal is to lose at least 70lbs...Here goes, Good Luck to everyone!
Wow only two weeks before the wedding. Getting back on track (yet
again). I've managed to keep off the 12 pounds that I lost. Just
wish I'd lost more. But at least I've managed to not gain any
additional weight. Good luck on your own weightloss journeys, everyone.

I can't believe your wedding is so close already, where does the time go?? I am
very proud of
you for losing 12 pounds, that is great:)
I can't say that I lost much weight, but I have begun eating better and taking
charge of stress
eating which is certainly a plus. You are going to be such a beautiful bride,
hope you share
a few pictures:)

Ok so i am trying to see what is the best for me to do to loose weight
and i eat speical k every morning so i figure this would be a great way
for me to loose wight before my wedding in October of 2009. I have
started to work out each night but i have found myself not wanting to
do it and finding an excuse not to, so i figured if i had a support
system then this way i can hopefully stay on track and get where i want
to be before i get married!!! :o)
Hi Amber:
My fiancee & I have not set a date. We both want to lose some weight
before setting a date & all.
I heard about the diet and looking forward to starting. Where are you
on the diet?
Take care-

Don't drink cola if you want to be healthy. Consuming soft
drinks is bad for so many reasons that science cannot even state all the
consequences. But one thing we know for sure is that drinking Coke, as a
representative of soft drinks, wreaks havoc on the human organism. Read the
complete story at Mercola with the title of What
Happens to Your Body within an Hour of Drinking a Coke…
