I stoped smoking cause I got COPD AND I smoked for 40 year's
from when I went to the hospital to now I have not had a smoke [one year]I still
crave them but I don't want to die either

hi. i just started my special k diet over today. i do like the meal
bars too. when i go back to work i will probably start to buy those
again. i love the chocolate peanut butter. i have'nt tried the waffles
yet. are they good?

Breast feeding mom's please remember that you're caloric intake needs to remain
higher then a non-breastfeeding mom.  You're baby is taking from you.
But any type of nutrition that is good for you will be good for the baby and
will help set the patterns of eating for that child.
Special K isn't made up of any bad foods so it's good for you and the baby.
I would stay clear of sugar substitutes and fake foods, but otherwise you should
be fine.  I am not a doctor, but I feel this is pretty cut and dry and I am a
Mother of 4 beauties. So, feel comfy in know that I am experienced.

hi kim, i'm sarah. i weigh 260 so i can sympathize with how you feel,
i started my diet today. i am soo tired of being plus size.i use to
weigh 240 but gained weight when i got sick. i had gillian barre, it
makes you numb all over, so i could'nt even walk by myself for a
couple of months. unfortunately though i could still eat. lol. anytime

Hi everyone. I am new to the group. I am a 59 year old woman who has
just lost 36 pounds. I want to be able to learn and help others who
need to lose weight.
I need the motivation now to keep this weight off. I do walk on my
treadmill each morning from 45 minutes to an hour. I do some weight
lifting for about 2 days a week.
I find that it is a lifestyle not just some quick fix to get the weight
off and keep off.
I am only 5 feet tall, so any pounds gained sure show.
It started out as sort of a dare to me, as I was about to be put on
high blood pressure pills, which I said no to. I told the doctor I
would lower it myself through diet and exercise. He sort of said, " I
don't think so". Well, He was shocked and pleased when I went back in
and he took BP and it was within normal range...I told him, do not ever
tell me never. I feel great, look better and am happy with the results.
So, hopefully you all can keep me on the right track and I can be of
some help to you all.

Hi, my name is Sara.  I have lost about 50 lbs in the last 2 years and
have found about 10 creeping back on. I find it really difficult to do
it alone and I always need a "jumpstart" and I think the Special K
programis perfect for that.  I work full-time at a YMCA and have great
access to workout programs, but have a hard time motivating myself to
work out where I work.  I have 2 kids who keep me very busy but I am
open to any suggestions, success stories or ideas that anyone can
share.  Looking forward to all of it!

I am really unhappy with the way I look. I went from a size 5-7 6 years
ago to a size 13!!! I have gained about 40 pounds and have never been
this overweight. I don't like the way anything fits and I cannot let
myself gain another pound. I am starting the challenge tomorrow and the
gym to speed up the process. My goal is to loose it all, although I
will be happy with loosing at least 30 pounds although anything I loose
will be great at this point. I just hope to stay motivated to reach my
goal.

A lot of people are talking about starting this challenge because they hate the
way they look. Thats not a good reason. If you hate the way you look, when you
lose some weight, or reach your goal, you are just going to find something else
that you think is wrong with your body
and for most people, that leads to binge eating to feel better, which leads to
massive weight gain, and then you're right back were you started. I should know,
it took me a while to love who I was but know that I do, the weight is
practically falling off. So before you start this program, learn to love you for
you. A very smart woman once said self esteem isn't everything, its just that
there's nothing without it. :-)

well good for you honey I am 57 and the only reason I stared this
diet is cause I got sick last year and I too am only 5 feet tall I have lost 30
pound's but it has taken me a year to do it I now am 215

you go girl!!! woo  good job on losing that weight.  don't give up. change the
music on your mp3 player, work out to different music.  thats great that you do
weights as well as walking, maybe you can send me your workout.  maybe walking
can get redundant maybe you could try aerobics, 30 min walk and 30 min aerobics
you don't need a gym there are videos.  i also read that you can jog 2 min and
sprint 30 sec.  i guess about 15-20min, that burns more fat.  i guess it's like
a car it wastes more gas when stop and go than on the highway.  but keep up that
workout spirit.  me i plan to start tomorrow,  but right now I'm excited for

Hi,  I have the same problem as u, just had a baby, and eat out of
bordem, I have tried everything, I did go on weight watcher and I did
lose 22 lbs, but gained 10 back,but that is the only thing that seemed
to work temporiarly     any suggestion, let me know

Hello everyone. I thought I would give an introduction of myself since
this is all new to me. My name is Elaine and I'm a college student at
Northern Illinois Univeristy in Dekalb, Illinois. I'm beginning my
