Description
Two titans of the acting profession, Academy Award® winners Jack Nicholson* and Morgan Freeman**, are joyously paired in director Rob Reiner’s heartwarming The Bucket List.

Corporate billionaire Edward Cole (Nicholson) and working class mechanic Carter Chambers (Freeman) are worlds apart. But sharing terminal illness—and a hospital room—brings them together, and the two are surprised to find they have several things in common: a desire to spend the time they have left doing everything they ever wanted to do before they “kick the bucket,” and an unrealized need to come to terms with who they are. Together, they embark on a globetrotting road trip of a lifetime, becoming close friends along the way. As each adventure adds another check to their list, the unlikely pair discovers the true joys of life, and what it means to live life to the fullest.

The two stars are perfect in their tailor-made roles, and play beautifully off each other. Adding to the fun as Cole’s personal assistant, Sean Hayes, of Will and Grace fame, is an ideal foil for Nicholson’s barbed wit.
