Description
For Ben Campbell (winningly played by rising star Jim Sturgess), it’s all in the cards. In need of tuition money, the shy MIT student is recruited to join a gifted group who travel to Las Vegas every weekend, armed with fake identities—and the know-how to turn the odds at blackjack in their favor. Under the guidance of unorthodox math professor and stats genius Micky Rosa (Kevin Spacey, in a role that fits him like a glove), the team discovers that they can crack the code and beat the casinos big-time.

Seduced by the money, the Vegas lifestyle, and his smart and sexy teammate, Jill Taylor (an alluring Kate Bosworth), Ben begins to push the limits. Though counting cards isn't illegal, the stakes are high, and the challenge far more than keeping the numbers straight: the true challenge will be staying one step ahead of the casinos' menacing enforcer, Cole Williams (a fierce Laurence Fishburne).

Directed by Robert Luketic, from a screenplay by Peter Steinfeld and Allan Loeb—actually inspired by a true story—21 adds up to a winner.
