For at least one day, the bears, deer, elks and other game animals of Montana were safe from harm. That’s because MySpace Secret Show decided to visit Big Horn Country for the very first time bringing Def Jux Indie Hip Hop stars El-P and Dizzee Rascal to The Loft in downtown Missoula.

All of the wristbands available for early pick-up at Ear Candy Music were given away hours before the show. The lucky couple hundred fans that were actually able to get in were treated to the night of their lives.

With the sun showing no sign of setting, DJ Aaron La Crate opened up the show with dance-craze-inducing mixes that included Tag Team and Justice setting the stage for Dizzee Rascal.

Performing classic tracks as well as new ones from his latest album “Maths & English,” the man from across the pond had the people of Montana riled up, showing that British Hip Hop is something worth while.

El-P took the stage with hypeman, The Mighty Quinn and had DJ Mr Dibbs manning the 1’s and 2’s. Spinning hip hop classics like “A Children Story,” Dibbs provided the beats that El-P would verse to all night long that included tracks that spanned from the “Fantastic Damage” days to his latest release, “I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead”.

It was truly an unforgettable evening and we hope that we gave Montana something to talk about for some time.
